The Slate Earth series combines the organic layered structure of raw slate stone with modern ceramic production technologies. Thanks to the special Lappato (semi-polished) processing technique applied to its surface, a balanced harmony between a matte stone texture and a subtle sheen that changes according to the angle of light is achieved. The Earth color palette, with its transitions of brown, light mink, and anthracite, gives spaces a warm, inviting, and balanced architectural character.

Beyond being merely an aesthetic covering material, its full-body porcelain structure is designed to withstand the heavy usage conditions of high-traffic areas. Due to its low-porosity internal structure, the water and moisture absorption rate is below 0.5% (BIa group standard). This feature ensures that the material is fully resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, allowing it to be used safely in both interior spaces and sheltered outdoor areas.

• Bending Strength: With a bending resistance of over 35 N/mm², it offers high fracture resistance against heavy pedestrian traffic and mechanical loads.
• Abrasion Resistance (PEI IV): It maintains its surface quality for many years on the floors of commercial spaces such as hotels, restaurants, stores, and offices, as well as in all areas of residential homes.
• Chemical and Stain Resistance: It is at the Class 5 level (highest stain removability) according to EN ISO 10545-14 standards against household chemicals, acidic cleaners, and staining agents.
• Rectified Edge Tolerance: Rectified edges, zeroed by laser cutting technology, offer millimeter-level dimensional precision. This allows for monolithic and seamless floor appearances with minimal grout lines, such as 1.5 mm.

The large slab form in 60x120 cm dimensions reduces the density of grout lines, creating a wider, more spacious, and holistic perception in the areas where it is applied. Thanks to its V3 (medium-high) graphic variation, each tile features a different natural stone pattern. This typological diversity evokes the feeling of a completely natural stone floor rather than an artificial, repeating image when applied.

Slate Earth Lappato has a versatile spectrum of use. It has thermal conductivity values that are 100% compatible with underfloor heating systems. It does not expand or crack during temperature changes.

Application and Maintenance Recommendations

To get maximum efficiency from the product's rectified structure, it is recommended to use calibrated tile spacers and flex-class (C2TE S1) porcelain tile adhesives. Since the surface has a stain-resistant structure, only warm water and neutral surface cleaners are sufficient for daily cleaning. No extra protective coatings or polishes are required on the surface.
